Chef de Cuisine  Yasuji Sasaki

Born in Okayama Prefecture in 1967, Chef Sasaki graduated from Tsuji Culinary School (Abeno, Osaka). After training and employment in Europe, Chef Sasaki was head of the restaurant Heritage at Huis Ten Bosch in Nagasaki before being named as assistant chef de cuisine of Restaurant Alain Chapel in September 2008. Representing Japan, Chef Sasaki was the inaugural champion of the 2008 Asian Regional Bocuse d'Or. Competing in the prestigious Bocuse d'Or international finals in January 2009, he ranked 8th out of 24 competitors. In September 2009, he was promoted to Chef de Cuisine of Restaurant Alain Chapel and will serve as Chef de Cuisine of Trente et Un in May 2012.
